In order to race Hong Kong Cycling Association races in Hong Kong, you must be a member of HKCA. This requires you to fill in some forms and costs $100HK. It's all available here. Or, as a member you will also have access to our Google Groups where you can download a pre signed form for 2011 membership. This will register you with a the HKCA as a colossi member.
The main road courses are typically as follows:
Bride's Pool Rd.- rolling terrain in the New Territories used for Road Races and Time Trials. The Team was 2nd here in the Team Time Trial in 2010. The course is on the Map page.
Fei Ngo Shan - Short hill climb time trial just outside of Kowloon. 8 minutes should get you up there in the placings. Rpberto won the 40's here in 2010.
Cheun Tung Rd. - Flat TT course in Tung Chung. The Guys were 3rd here in the 2010 TTT.
Science Park - Criterium circuit near Tai Po. Maps here. Informal criterium training aka ShaTin speed fest most Thursday nights. Ed won the Elite B criterium at the end of 2009.
Effective from September 2009, the enrolment deadline for all road races, mountain bike races and All Future Cyclists Race will be TEN DAYS before the race day (previously it was 5:00 p.m. on the Monday before the race day). Entry form(s) and entry fee(s) must be reached to HKCA on or before the deadline. Missing either the entry form(s) or entry fee(s) will be treated as late entries which will not be accepted for All Future Cyclist Race while an extra admission charges will be charged for late entries for road races and mountain bike races.
Members who wish to pay the admission / entry fee of the activities by transferring or depositing the money directly to the bank account of the association, please deposit the money to Shanghai Commercial Bank A/C No. 330-82-026176 or HSBC A/C No. 809-504301-292 and keep the bank- in slip. You are then required to send the application form as well as the bank-in slip by fax (2834 3715), e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by post (Room 1015, Olympic House, 1 Stadium Path, So Kon Po, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong) to the association. HKCA will not process the application without bank-in slip provided.
